Lanzarote

Lanzarote is the most unusual and surprising island in the Canary archipelago. Declared a Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO in 1993, the visitor will delight at the large variety of landscapes and attractions to explore on the “mystic island”: the volcanoes of the Timanfaya National Park, the La Geria vineyards, the golden-sandy Papagayo beaches, the cactus fields in the Mala zone, the green lagoon of El Golfo and the impressive Risco de Famara with its endless beach. Lanzarote’s landscape is the result of the great mastery with which man has confronted the hard geographical and climatic conditions over the years. Farming and fishing have been carried out in balance with the setting and has become a sign of cultural and landscape identity.

A real must for the visitor are the art and cultural centres, scattered throughout the island. Most of them were designed by the famous Lanzarote artist, César Manrique, and are a fascinating symbiosis between natural beauty and intelligent architecture.

Lanzarote enjoys a pleasant, sunny climate all year round. Sun and temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees are normal in the “Isles of Eternal Spring”. Any time of the year is ideal for taking a trip or trying out one of the sports activities. Our reception team will be delighted to help you choose the perfect excursion for you or recommend the best centre for your favourite sport.
